How switching works

Most people don’t realise that they are allowed to switch their ISA or pension; they think they are stuck with high fees, poor returns or bad service.

The good news is that the switching process is just like switching your mobile phone network: Instead of moving from one mobile network to another, you move your portfolio from your current investment platform to a new one and start using one of our Arran investment strategies.

Open

We help you open your account with an independent investment platform such as AJ Bell.

Instruct

On your instruction, your new investment platform contacts your old investment platform to request a switch on your behalf.

Confirm

We double-check that the switch was processed correctly, let you know and begin managing your portfolio.
